1. Who we are
GEN224 | MarriageMatters is a trading name of Jamie Dallimore (sole trader) In this policy "we", "us" and "our" refer to that trader. We are the data controller for the personal information described here.

2. What information we collect
When you use our contact form we collect the details you give us: your first and last name, email address, phone number (optional), the areas you tell us you are interested in, and whether you would like to receive communications from us.
When you visit our website, our hosting provider (Wix) automatically collects technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and the date and time of your visit, and sets cookies as described in section 8.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
3. How we use your information and why we are allowed to
We use your information to respond to your enquiry and have a conversation about how we can support you or your church. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us; the form also records your agreement to us storing your details for that purpose.
We send you updates about the ministry, courses and events only where you have ticked the box asking us to. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any email or by emailing us.
We keep our website secure and understand how it is used. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe, working website.
We do not sell your information or use it for automated decision-making.
4. Who we share it with
We use trusted third-party services to run the website and manage contacts. They act on our instructions and are contractually bound to protect your data:
Wix hosts the website and processes form submissions.
HubSpot stores our contact records and sends our emails. Our HubSpot account is hosted in the European Union.
Microsoft (Outlook): contact details may be synchronised to our Outlook address book so we can reply to you.
Google: the contact form uses reCAPTCHA to prevent spam, and the site embeds YouTube videos. Google's privacy policy applies to those services.
Usercentrics provides the cookie consent banner on this site.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
5. International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens we rely on the UK's adequacy regulations or the provider's UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, so your data receives protection equivalent to UK law.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and review our records periodically, deleting what is no longer needed. If you have asked to receive updates, we keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you; to ask us to correct anything inaccurate; to ask us to delete your information; to object to or restrict how we use it; to receive your information in a portable format; and to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these, email jamie@gen224.org.uk. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, though we would welcome the chance to resolve any concern with you first.
8. Cookies
Our website is built on Wix, which uses essential cookies needed for the site to work and, where you accept them, analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can accept, reject or change your cookie choices at any time through the cookie banner on the site or your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working.
9. Security
We use reputable providers with appropriate technical and organisational safeguards, restrict access to your data to people who need it, and use secure (HTTPS) connections throughout the site.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed, and significant changes will be flagged on the site.
